Helena Casanova


				Helena, After an accident in Barreiro´s Public Pool, she suffered a cardio respiratory arrest and CPR manoeuveres were initiated. She was already in coma when admited into Barreiro´s Hospital. She was connected to the ventilator because of ineffective respiratory stimuli. Consequently transferred to an ICU remaining in coma. Several diagnostic exams were made, namely computed tomography of the brain, wich showed several injuries compatible to hypoxia. Later on, she was disconected from the ventilator and a tracheotomy was made. Although she needs daycare for basic needs like mobilization, feeding...
